Who We Are

College Initiative is a community based reentry education organization serving New York City.

Our mission is to create pathways from criminal justice involvement to college and beyond and to establish and support communities invested in their own success.

We believe that higher education is a proven reentry strategy and that it should be a primary response to the practice of mass incarceration.
